WebThe cathedral choir consists of boys, girls, professional adults, and sixth form choral scholars. The boy choristers, aged 8 to 13, have been part of the Cathedral’s musical life since the foundation of the Cathedral in the Middle Ages, and can be traced back further to Ely’s monastic roots. WebOur regular services are dignified but warm, following set patterns laid out by the Church of England. We follow a daily rhythm of Morning and Evening Prayer, with a celebration of the Eucharist or Holy Communion every day. The evening services and several of the services on Sunday are sung by Durham Cathedral Choir, a choir of adults and children.
